EnCampo Field Mapping Software

BACK

IMPULSE being used with encampo Software

If you're a non-surveyor (like most of us on this planet!) faced with a surveying task, the last thing you need is software you can't understand. That's why LTI created enCampo. With enCampo you'll be mapping like an expert in minutes. Using your Impulse laser, MapStar Compass and an HP48, you have the flexibility to choose from 3 different mapping methods. Just pick the one best suited for the job.

Hook an Impulse 200 up to enCampo and you can locate your feature in one of two ways:

1. Baseline / Offset- Best used for mapping long, narrow areas, such as railroad or pipeline right-of-ways. Simply obtain your coordinate locations with a shot along the baseline and a right angle offset to your target.

2. Range Triangulation- Best used when mapping small localized sites, such as an archeological dig or geologic formation. First, set up targets at two known points in the area. Then locate a feature by simply standing at it and measuring distance to the two control points - it's that easy.

Add Laser Technology's MapStar Compass to your system and you add another valuable mapping technique.

3.Radial with Azimuth- Best used on larger scale projects with multiple targets to locate; like a stockpile or a long boundary traverse. With this routine you are able to locate your point in a single shot with a combination of azimuth and distance.

In the office, enCampo PC gives you the ability to:
bulletSave protected, raw data files
bulletInteractively QC and edit your data
bulletCalculate Mis-tie, Closure Ratio and Area
bulletAdjust your Traverses
bulletPrint Annotated Maps
bulletOutput Formatted Text (tab or comma delimited)

enCampo PC also allows for layered DXF output. Point, Line and Area classifications specified in the field are automatically transferred into your office CAD package.

Using enCampo you're able to describe your points, by creating a "pick list", which is a list of frequently used customized feature names. With enCampo's "Auto Mode" you can collect and store data ~ 20 points per minute - great for any kind of surface modeling. No matter what your discipline is in eco-system management, enCampo makes it easy to collect and coordinate your field data.
