The display can show three types of measured data at one time.  You can choose between Horizontal angle, Vertical angle, Slope distance, Horizontal distance, or Vertical distance.

There is a RS-232C data port for connection to a data collector if desired.  The side covers are bright red for safety and the body is ivory to better reflect the heat of the sun.

 All operations use icon labeled keys.  There is no specific language required which can make training and usage much easier.  Even the display uses icons to show exactly the type of measurement.  Less chance for mistakes means higher productivity and better results.

The base fits on a standard 5/8x11 tripod.  The handle is inclined for easy plumb measurements, even straight up if required.  The DA-020F weighs less than 8 lbs. – easy to carry and quick to set up.  The optical plumb bob has a 3x telescope and can focus at any distance from 20 inches to infinity making virtually any setup possible.

Large Display: The segment / icon display has superior contrast for best visibility.  The characters are large and three types of data can be displayed at one time.  Icons are used to label each type of data to eliminate language problems. Combinations are H. angle / H. distance / V. distance, V. angle / Slope distance / V. distance, and H. angle / V. angle / Slope distance.  Back lighting is available for low light situations.

Icon Key Operation: All keys are labeled with icons so that a person of any language can operate the instrument without problem. Training time is minimal and productivity is enhanced.

Water Protection: This instrument meets IPX4 water protection. This class protects the instrument from rainfall.

Telescope:  The 24x telescope has superior resolution for precision pointing capability.  The wide field of view lets you find the target easily and quickly.  Gun sights, for rough sighting, are on both sides of the telescope.

Fast Measurements: Fine distance measurements are a fast 2.0 seconds and tracking measurements are a very fast 0.5 seconds for efficient stake out and topo work.

Distance Accuracy: Distance measuring accuracy is ¼ inch @ 1000 feet in Fine mode.

Distance Range:  The DA-020F can measure 1000 feet to a single prism under normal conditions and up to 1800 feet to a triple prism under good conditions – enough for any Construction site.

Angle Accuracy: Accurate to ¼ inch @ 200 feet – display to 10” or 20”. Angles are measured electronically and displayed to either 10” or 20”.

Data Output:  Data can be sent to an external data collector for point storage or staking out.

Inclined Handle:  The telescope can be oriented straight up for plumbing tall buildings etc.  The handle is inclined out of the way for this type of operation.  There is nothing that needs to be removed.
