Sokkia’s
DT4F Electronic Digital Theodolite has advanced mechanical features for
greater speed, accuracy and convenience. A dual-axis compensator improves
accuracy in angle measurement, and a simplified keyboard with
multiple-function keys provides access to an extensive range of
measurement and calculation functions. Wing clamp and fine motion
assemblies for horizontal and vertical motions are helpful for optimum
control.
Softkey
operation system—The four “softkey” function keys simplify operation
while reducing menu clutter and error. Just assign any of the numerous
functions provided to whichever key you like. You can change functions at
any time, or even set up two separate function menus for different jobs.
The large dot-matrix
LCD on each face displays four lines of 20 characters. The antiglare glass
display allows you easy reading. |
| Improved
accuracy in angle reading thanks to the dual-axis compensator |
| The
dual-axis tilt sensor detects deviation of the standing axis from
perpendicular in both X and Y directions. Correction values for horizontal
and vertical circle readings are automatically computed and applied. If
you don’t need the correction values for both angles, the sensor can be
turned off, or configured for the vertical angle only. The DT4F’s
inclination can be checked on the screen, so you don’t have to rotate
the instrument during leveling. |

zero-indexing — horizontal and vertical circles |
Simply
rotate the alidade to index the horizontal circle and transit the
telescope module to index the vertical circle, and then implement your
desired measurement function.
The horizontal index value is stored in a short-term (one week) memory,
allowing easy recovery in the event of accidental power loss.
Interface port and external power plug—The interface port permits
connection of an SDR Electronic Field Book for automatic data collection.
A Sokkia external power supply system can be used via the external power
plug. The port and the plug are in the base, allowing the alidade to
rotate freely without cable interference. |
